writing

Before knowing exactly what screenwriting was, I spent a good portion of my childhood sitting at the family computer writing “stories to be turned into movies”. In my mind, I had invented screenwriting.

I went on to study a concentration in screenwriting at the Newhouse School at Syracuse University. While peers studied to become investigative journalists or prepare for a career as a battlefield correspondent, I was academically groomed for a profession in riffing. Money well spent.

I continue to write for screens of all sizes; silver, LED, hell, I’ll go vertical for the right price. Influenced by the tones of Albert Brooks and Christopher Guest, I am interested most in characters that treat absurdity with complete sincerity.

Listed are summaries of my two most recent spec scripts, full drafts are available upon request.

For proof that I can actually write, read The Texan, a satirical Seinfeld spec set in the modern Texas comedy scene.
